Who actually builds the website?
Our website production team, based in Ireland. The platform uses AI to help with layout, text and images. A person on our team puts the site together, checks it and makes your changes. Then we give you the logins, and you have full control of your website to make edits on the platform.
What do I need to have ready?
Not much. After you sign up, we'll send you an intake form where you can tell us all about your business: what you do, the areas you serve, how customers should contact you, your logo, and anything else you think will help us create your site. The setup call then fills in the rest. If you don't have photos, the platform has an image library and AI-assisted imagery.
Can I change the website myself afterwards?
Yes. At handover you get the logins, so you can update text, photos and pages whenever you like. If you get stuck, our support team is there by phone and email.
How do I manage my website?
After your site is built, we'll issue you a username to log in to your site. Go to www.site.fcrmedia.ie and click "Forgot password" to receive a password reset link.
What if I want online booking or to sell online?
Booking, e-commerce and online payments are available as optional upgrades on the same platform, so your website can grow with the business.
What is the Digital Trust Mark?
A mark awarded by .IE, Ireland's national domain registry, to businesses whose domain, website and email pass its Digital Trust assessment. Grade A is a score of 70% or higher. Your website is assessed as part of the Starter Pack.
What does it cost?
The Starter Pack provides funding for your domain, website, email and hosting for one year. The application page has the funding details.
What happens after 12 months?
Before your 12 months are up, we'll get in touch to see whether you want to keep your domain, website and email going, and move you onto the package that suits your business best. If you don't want to renew, that's no problem. There's no commitment to stay with us, though we hope you will.
How do I get started with FCR Media?
On the Starter Pack application form, select FCR Media as your Registrar package. Once your application is approved, we arrange your setup call.
